Don’t give your pre-teen a chance to gripe about the lack of space in his room for sleepovers. Just get your carpenter to add a pullout drawer-cum-bed on caster to your son’s existing bed. Instruct him to make it a separate unit altogether – this way, cleaning under the bed won’t be an issue.
Take care though, to see that the design of the pullout bed is in syne with the rest of the furniture in the room. And buy another set of linens to match. Now get ready for the beeline of young visitors in the weeks to come!
