Bedroom

Bedrooms, again, are multipurpose rooms where you may read, watch television, work on the computer, relax and, of course, sleep. All these activities require different light settings. Wall spotlights, lamps, sconces, ceiling fixtures and floor lamps can be used to get layers of diffused light. While dimly-lit bedrooms are ideal for sleep-time, they tend to be a hindrance for other activities. If you like to read a lot, go in for controlled reading lights on either side of the bed. If you have a baby in the room, install a dimmer or subdued lamp. For your parents or grandparents room (people above 50 years of age), go in for higher-wattage bulbs. Also, do not use lampshades since they can be over-powering and may block the light.
