Apart from ambient light, some amount of natural light is a must in a bathroom to brighten the room without casting shadows on your face. Lights around mirrors help when you’re doing your makeup. However, if you are making a new bathroom, try creating a false ceiling for indirect lighting since this light can be controlled. Today tiles come in such pretty colors and patterns that you may not want a wall mounted fixture disturbing your design.
